Marilyn Meyerhoff brings a wide array of theatrical and philanthropic experience to the Board. Significantly, as soon as she saw a play at Dramaworks she knew that this organization was one in which she wanted to devote her time and energy. She previously served on board of the Community Chest / United Way of Palm Beach. A long time resident of Baltimore, Marilyn was instrumental in establishing the off Broadway theatre, Center Stage (1962). She served on the board for most of the years and is presently an Honorary Member. She was also on the board of The Baltimore Ballet Company, and is presently on the board of the American Visionary Art Museum. Among her other philanthropic and community activities are serving on the board of Learning Inc. a middle school which helps children at the most important time of their lives. She is proud to be involved with both Johns Hopkins Hospital and Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Marilyn also served many years on the board of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (Kenya and United States). Marilyn summers in Martha's Vineyard, and is currently associated with the Vineyard Playhouse. Marilyn is the mother of three children, and five grandchildren.
