David was most recently seen in GableStage’s highly acclaimed production of the one-man show Wiesenthal. Other productions at GableStage include The Children, Indecent, If I Forget, Stalking the Bogeyman, Ruined (Carbonell Award, Best Production), QED (Carbonell Award, Best Actor), Dirty Blonde (Carbonell Award, Best Supporting Actor), November, Romance, The Retreat from Moscow, Adam Baum and the Jew Movie, Mind Game, and Psychopathia Sexualis. Zoetic Stage: Dracula, The Caretaker (Carbonell Award, Best Actor), Passion, Detroit, and The Great God Pan. Actors’ Playhouse: August: Osage County, Communicating Doors, and Comic Potential. David’s performances in Blind Date, Angels in America, and Moon for the Misbegotten (New Theatre) all garnered him Carbonell nominations. David also has performed with the Guthrie Theater, Actors Theatre of St. Paul, Arizona Theatre Company, and Asolo Repertory Theatre. He appeared at the Edinburgh Festival and the King’s Head Theater in London in his one-person show, John Barrymore: Confessions of an Actor. For three decades, David was a professor in the theater division of New World School of the Arts in Miami.
