Season 2012-13 includes "Talley's Folly", "A Delicate Balance", "A Raisin in the Sun", "Exit the King", and "Dancing at Lughnasa".
13th Anniversary Season will begin October 12, 2012!

West Palm Beach's only resident professional theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks, will launch its 13th Anniversary Season with Lanford Wilson's Pulitzer Prize winning play "Talley's Folly" on Friday, October 12th (8PM) at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). The season will continue with a distinguished roster of plays including "A Delicate Balance" by Edward Albee, "A Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry, "Exit the King" by Eugene Ionesco, and "Dancing at Lughnasa" by Brian Friel.

Launching the 13th season in mid October is "Talley's Folly," the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Lanford Wilson. Talley's Folly is a romantic comedy following the unlikely sweethearts, Matt Friedman and Sally Talley as they once and for all settle their feelings for each other and find themselves drawn together in an intense romance. (October 12 - November 11). The season's next offering will be Edward Albee's, "A Delicate Balance." In this Pulitzer Prize-winning play, a well-to-do Connecticut family is upended when the daughter's godparents, seized by a nameless terror, come to live with them. (December 7 January 6). Following in February is the classic drama, "A Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry. Set in the 1950's, the drama focuses on a substantial insurance payment could mean either financial salvation or personal ruin for a poor black family living on Chicago's South Side. (February 1 - March 3). The curtain rises on the comic romp "Exit the King" when the season continues on March 29 with Eugene Ionesco's signature absurdist work. The comedy centers on an incompetent King, who has left his country in near ruin. Despite the efforts of the Queen and others to convince him he has only 90 minutes left to live, he refuses to relinquish any control. (March 29 - April 28). The season concludes with "Dancing at Lughnasa" by Brian Friel. The poignant tale unfolds the story of the Mundy sisters, who make the most of their simple existence in rural Ireland, as told decades later from the perspective of the youngest daughter's son. (May 24 - June 23). All plays and dates subject to change.
