J. Barry Lewis is named Resident Guest Director- August 21, 2007
Palm Beach Dramaworks A regular stage director for West Palm Beach's only resident professional theatre, Palm Beach Dramaworks. J. Barry Lewis has been named the theatre's Resident Guest Director.
“We are pleased and honored that J. Barry Lewis is officially joining the Dramaworks staff. He has had a long affiliation with our organization, serving as guest director and board member. For several years he has worked collaboratively with me, and he has become a trusted advisor," stated William Hayes, Dramaworks' Producing Artistic Director. "Barry shall continue to rotate duties with me as production director, and shall assist in developing various new programs, such as the Master Playwright Series and New Play Development Series, as well as other educational and community outreach initiatives." Mr. Lewis' most recent credit is the Dramaworks acclaimed production of Side by Side by Sondheim. Previous musical outings at Dramaworks include the award-winning production of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris and the Kurt Weill revue, Berlin to Broadway.
