"Black & White Ball, 50 years later" - Palm Beach Dramaworks' Annual Gala - Cohen Pavilion, Kravis Center for the Performing Arts

Just over fifty years ago, on November 28, 1966, Truman Capote held his Black & White Ball at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. It was a lavish masquerade party in honor of The Washington Post publisher Katharine Graham. The Black & White Ball was credited with starting an immediate upsurge in masquerade and costume parties, and has been described as "a pinnacle of New York's social history."
