"Eleven - eleven - eleven" is miraculously now in the rearview mirror and, thanks to you our committed patrons, our launch in our new home was perhaps even more miraculous. The response to All My Sons was overwhelming and, as a result, despite a theatre with nearly triple our previous capacity, we needed to extend the run of our very first show (believe me, nobody in the Dramaworks "family" is complaining). Subscriptions and single ticket sales are well above already record levels. When the first additional staff members are needed to work in the box office, it is certainly an encouraging sign.
Even more encouraging is the fact that our artistic team has barely begun to explore the opportunities created by our new space. For the remainder of this season (and beyond) they'll have the opportunity to deliver unparalleled theatrical experiences. In case it is hard to tell, we're all very excited!
Having said all of this, we share the economic realities of virtually all performing arts organizations, which means that great ticket sales only support half of our operating budget. Both our annual and capital campaigns remain extremely important. If you like what you see, please help us!
As always, if there is anything that any of us at Palm Beach Dramaworks can do to make your experience more enjoyable, please do not hesitate to let us know!
Sincerely,
Mark Perlberg
